Full Civic Literacy Exam (from our 2008 survey)
Are you more knowledgeable than the average citizen? The average score for all 2,508 Americans taking the following test was 49%; college educators scored 55%. Can you do better? Questions were drawn from past ISI surveys, as well as other nationally recognized exams.
I got a 96.97% score, which means I missed one question.

But I’m just an old fashioned, out of touch, curmudgeon.

70%. Not too shabby for someone from Europe, I think.
Not bad at all, considering that American college educators only got 55%. You should come here and teach!
100%. I guess that encyclopedic knowledge of ‘useless facts’ comes in handy after all. And you’re right. It is a discrace that this material is not taught in our schools, public or private.
Ha! As a Brit I got 80%
Doesn’t say much for your educators, does it?
Doesn’t say much for our education system, but that’s not news to a lot of us. Of course an ignorant populace is easier to fool and control, isn’t it?
Chalk up another 100%. Although it’s probably because I had a class in college that spent QUITE a bit of time (as in the entire semester, basically) on the Federalist Papers.
100%.
80% Didn’t know the judicial review and misread the Federal one.
