Woody Allen Will Approve

September 24, 2012 by tooldtowork 8 Comments

In 1973 Woody Allen released the movie “Sleeper” in which he was cryogenically frozen and awoke 200 years in the future. It was a funny movie in a 1970s way, but today isn’t seen very much. One funny bit within the movie featured a machine called ‘The Orgasmatron”, which is pretty much what you think it is. In fact it might be the most memorable part of the movie. Here is the clip via You Tube,

What brought this movie and scene to mind was this, which is no joke. At least if it is, it’s an elaborate one.

Chinese hospitals introduce hands-free automatic ‘sperm extractor’ for donors (that even play videos to ‘help’)

Chinese hospitals are introducing a new machine which can extract sperm for donors.

According to China’s Weibo social platform the automatic sperm extractors are being introduced in a Nanjing hospital, capital of Jiangsu province.

The pink, grey and white machine has a massage pipe at the front which apparently can be adjusted according to the height of its user.

You really just can’t make this up. Somehow I think that a fair number of these machines might end up in places where doctors don’t work. For $2,800.00 it’s not out of reach of wealthy, but lonely men. Maybe out of reach isn’t the right term.

A website which is selling the machine for $2,800 promoting it stating ‘it can give patients very comfortable feeling.

“Comfortable”. Yeah, that’s the term.

Of course being the person who has to clean this thing could be the worst job in China.

There are about a million comments I could make, each more inappropriate than the last. I’ll refrain, but feel free to uh, let ‘er fly, in the comments section.

Elderly men with arthritic hands, an internet connection, and a prescription for Viagra will live happier lives thanks to this invention.

I’d never use it. Look at the angle of that thing. I don’t bend that way– at least, not any more. Now, if it were to oscillate a bit, THAT would be something…….

I think it’s height adjustable. I can think of some form factors that might make it more acceptable, but I’ll just leave that to your imagination.

The Chinese device also was anticipated in the film “A Boy and His Dog” starring Don Johnson.

All About Me

I'm a paramedic working in a largish city in the Northeast corner of the U.S. I've been in EMS all of my so called adult life. I'm more than just a little opinionated, but that comes with having been around the block more than once. Read More…
