Actress Vanessa Hudgens probed for allegedly defacing Arizona red rocks

A heart carved into red rock is drawing the attention of authorities in Arizona who are investigating to see if actress Vanessa Hudgens is the culprit.

Hudgens posted a photo of the carving, bearing the names Vanessa and Austin, on her Instagram page Sunday but later removed it. Other photos with the hash tag “sedonadreams” still appeared on the site Tuesday.

Alternate headline. Semi talented self centered girl declares to entire world that she’s self centered

Or something like that.

Sedona is incredibly beautiful and it’s bad enough that it’s being overbuilt without some 20 something bimbo carving crap into a rock.

Then there is this,

Damaging a natural feature on U.S. Forest Service land is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a maximum $5,000 fine. Smith said he’s unaware of any signs in the district to inform people of the law. Forest officials try to maintain the natural beauty of the area, he said.

You have to put up signs to tell people not to carve stupid things into natural features on US property? You’d think that people would be taught this by their parents, but in Hudgens case, I have little doubt that her parents never wanted to scold her or hurt her little feelings. Delicate little cupcake.

I’ll leave you with this thought,

“A dying culture invariably exhibits personal rudeness. Bad manners. Lack of consideration for others in minor matters. A loss of politeness, of gentle manners, is more significant than is a riot.”

― Robert A. Heinlein

  1. I don’t even know who she is, but this is a small heart scraped on the surface of a rock. It’s not carved into anything.

This is a federal crime? Make her sand it off, pay a small fine, and move on.

Keeping an individual 6 months in jail would be a real cost.

    • I wouldn’t put anyone in prison for this, but a fine is certainly in order. Maybe community service.

I don’t know you other than casually, but I rather doubt that your kids (assuming you have kids) would do something like this. I know my adult kids wouldn’t do this either. It more speaks to her upbringing than any legal issue.
