While I think the whole concept is silly, he asked for a source for the gloves he saw. It was Microflex Gloves that offered a 10 pair belt pack of gloves. Search for “Supreno Cuff First” on google for sources.

I don’t think it was shot down. I think the people flying the drone. planned in advance to listen for gunfire and crash the drone intentionally while they were filming. They dumped it right back on the road they were on so they could retrieve it, had their canned responses ready, etc.

Maybe I’m wrong, but my understanding is that the the Okinawa campaign was to provide a base for fighters and an emergency strip for B29s. I’ll reread my sources and make corrections as needed.
