Happy Veteran’s Day

A heart felt Thank You to all the fine men and women who have served in the military defending our country.

For those who don’t know Veteran’s Day was originally Armistice Day commemorating the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month.” which was the end of the World War I.

In 1954 Congress voted to replace “Armistace” with “Veterans” and the current holiday was born.

Veterans, whether they saw combat or not have provided valuable service to our country to keep it free. We should all appreciate their service and thank them for it.

Which coincidentally is the day that Mrs. TOTWTYTR made an honest man out of me. She never served in the military, so I don’t know why our friends say she deserves a medal. They must be confused.

After a long career as a field EMS provider, I'm now doing all that back office stuff I used to laugh at. Life is full of ironies, isn't it? I still live in the Northeast corner of the United States, although I hope to change that to another part of the country more in tune with my values and beliefs. I still write about EMS, but I'm adding more and more non EMS subject matter. Thanks for visiting.
